About

Alexander Goot

I'm Alexander Goot, a sports television producer with experience at two national networks, and a columnist who has written for a variety of digital sports outlets.

Having spent six years at ESPN, and two at Fox Sports 1, I specialize in the way sports are seen, covered, and consumed. As a history major, political junkie, and pop-culture devotee, I look for every opportunity, on television, and with the written word, to keep a close eye on the intersection of sports and society.

Mostly, I love to find new ways to approach old stories, and create segments, features, and columns that educate, work that features genuine nuance and insight, and stands out in a crowded landscape.
